Distri.js

Distributed computing for the web

Visit Distri.js

Distri is a server-client package that brings distributed, or volunteer, computing to the browser. Distri-Node, the server component powered by Node.js, distributes work to clients, while Distri.js runs in the browser and accepts work from a Distri server. The project is inspired by BOINC and aims to make volunteer computing available on the web. Before a visitor's browser is used, Distri asks for consent on the first visit.

The package includes Distri-Node and Distri.js, with documentation, tutorials, an API reference, and an FAQ available for getting started. The project is maintained by Tweet Star.
