FreeBASIC
A free, open source BASIC compiler for Windows, DOS and Linux
FreeBASIC is a free and open source (GPL) BASIC compiler for Microsoft Windows, DOS and Linux. It is a self-hosting compiler that uses GNU binutils as backends and can produce console and GUI executables, dynamic and static libraries. It supports procedural, object-oriented and meta-programming paradigms with syntax compatible with Microsoft QuickBASIC, and includes a 'QB' language mode for QuickBASIC compatibility. The project also provides thin bindings to popular third-party libraries such as the C runtime library, Allegro, SDL, OpenGL, GTK+, and the Windows API.
