MiroTalk SFU

Open-source WebRTC video conferencing for self-hosted meetings

Visit MiroTalk SFU

MiroTalk SFU is a browser-based real-time video calling platform that runs on a self-hosted SFU server built on Mediasoup. Users start a call by choosing a room name, with no download, plug-in, or login required. The platform supports an unlimited number of conference rooms and participants without call time limits, and media streams are encrypted using SRTP via WebRTC.

Core capabilities include screen sharing, webcam streaming up to 8K resolution and 60fps, audio streaming with echo cancellation and noise suppression, in-meeting chat with an emoji picker, browser-based recording of screen, video, and audio, a collaborative whiteboard, file sharing, RTMP broadcasting and streaming, virtual backgrounds, AI avatars, ChatGPT integration for answering questions, and a REST API for application integration. Room settings cover moderator controls, participant permissions, waiting rooms, room passwords, recording controls, layout and appearance options, and network monitoring.

MiroTalk SFU is a free, open-source project under the AGPLv3 license, with a commercial license available for purchase. It is suited to individuals and teams needing self-hosted video conferencing with broad in-meeting tools.
