Dev-C++

Full-featured C and C++ Integrated Development Environment (IDE) for Windows

Visit Dev-C++

Dev-C++ is a free, open source C and C++ integrated development environment for Windows, first released in 1998. It provides a single workspace for writing, compiling, debugging, and organizing C/C++ code, targeting developers, students, and researchers who need a lightweight tool that can run on older systems.

The IDE supports GCC-based compilers such as Mingw and Cygwin, with debugging through GDB. It includes code completion, a class browser with function listing, and project templates for console applications, Windows GUI programs, static libraries, and DLLs. DevPaks provide add-on libraries and tools with setup installers, and the interface is available in more than 30 languages. The current download is Dev-C++ 5.0 beta 9.2, bundled with the Mingw/GCC 3.4.2 compiler and GDB 5.2.1 debugger.

Dev-C++ is distributed as free, open source software for Windows. A USB drive or CD containing all Dev-C++ versions and maintained forks is also offered for purchase.
