CakePHP
Build fast, grow solid
CakePHP is an open-source PHP framework for building web applications with the model–view–controller pattern. It is designed to reduce the amount of code needed and to speed up development through conventions and built-in components.
The framework includes code generation and scaffolding, database access, caching, validation, authentication, translations, and security features such as CSRF protection, form tampering protection, and SQL injection prevention. It follows MVC conventions and uses an MIT license. Recent releases add features such as query result projection, rate limiting middleware, Redis Cluster support, and additional database column types.
CakePHP is aimed at developers building web applications, from prototypes to larger systems. The framework is open source under the MIT license. CakeDC, the commercial entity behind CakePHP, offers development, consultancy, training, and code review services.
