Ventrilo

Voice communication over the internet.

Visit Ventrilo

Ventrilo is a group voice communication client for gamers that connects users to servers over an encrypted client-server connection. It is designed to keep CPU usage low during online play while providing a straightforward interface where common actions are available with a single click. Text chat and audio recordings are stored locally on the client computer, and user data is not collected or stored. Servers are hosted in secure data centers worldwide.

The client supports voice communication across multiple users and servers, with configurable cross-channel communication, phantom listening-only users, private voice and text conversations, dynamic channels, sub-channels, muted and queued channels, transmit limits, and per-channel ranking and feature filtering. It includes text-to-speech generation, key bindings for program functions and wave playback, IRC-style chat, server and channel passwords, remote administration, voice activation and push-to-talk modes with ducking, voice recording and playback, a built-in server browser, and configurable codecs and sound effects. Version 4 adds themes, file transfer, side control panels, and break-out main and channel windows. Clients are available for Windows and macOS in 32-bit, 64-bit, and ARM builds, with separate Version 3 downloads for older platforms.
