Textpattern

A small CMS for content publishers, designers, and developers

Visit Textpattern

Textpattern is a free, open source PHP content management system released under the GNU General Public License v2.0. It solves the problem of structuring and managing website content while giving designers full control over HTML and CSS from the administration interface, without adding script libraries or dependencies to the output.

The system uses a tag-based template language for retrieving and displaying dynamic content, ships with built-in Textile text formatting (Markdown support via plugin), and can be extended through hundreds of community plugins. The core interface is minimalist, available in over 50 languages, and development takes place on GitHub. Textpattern is aimed at bloggers, web designers, developers, publishers, and authors. It is distributed as free, open source software with no paid editions or seat-based plans indicated.
