Visit ExpressionEngine

ExpressionEngine is a content management system for building and managing websites. Content is organized into channels with custom fields, and pages are built with templates that can include HTML, JavaScript, PHP and ExpressionEngine tags. It offers front-end editing, live preview, member management, multi-site management, forums, add-ons, and a range of built-in tools for search, backups, versioning and more.

The platform includes channels, custom fieldtypes, fluid fields, grid fields, relationships, categories, template caching, template partials, rich text editing, publish layouts, entry cloning, entry versioning, image modifiers, a file manager, a jump menu, one-click updates, a command line interface, language packs, database backups, search, search term logging, access throttling, control panel access logs, a query module, HTTP header and RSS parser plugins, request handling, CAPTCHA, and New Relic support. It also provides privacy and consent tools for cookie consent and GDPR compliance, plus a built-in email system supporting PHPMail, Sendmail and SMTP. Add-ons extend the system, and Prolets bring add-on functionality to the front end.

ExpressionEngine is developed by Packet Tide and is available as a free Core edition for projects requiring control panel access for one user. A Pro edition includes unlimited features and unlimited control panel users, with one year of updates included and additional updates available on an annual basis. An additional multi-site management site license is also offered.
