Telegram Desktop is a desktop client for the Telegram messaging service, designed to keep conversations synchronized with a user's mobile phone. It provides a native desktop interface for messaging on Windows, macOS and Linux, including portable builds for Windows and Flatpak and Snap packages for Linux.
The application supports Telegram's messaging features, with downloads offered for Windows x64, macOS through the Mac App Store, and Linux x64 via Flatpak and Snap. It is released under the GPL v3 license, and its source code is available on GitHub. A beta version is also referenced on the site.
Telegram Desktop is intended for people who use Telegram on mobile and want a corresponding desktop client. The pages do not describe paid editions, trials, seat-based licensing or usage-based pricing; the software is distributed as a free download under an open-source license.
