Gajim
Free and fully featured chat app for XMPP.
Gajim is a free, open-source chat client for the XMPP protocol, developed by volunteers using Python and GTK. It lets users choose their own XMPP provider and synchronize conversations across devices, while remaining interoperable with other XMPP-based chat applications. The client supports private chats and groups, with end-to-end encryption for messages, pictures, and files shared with contacts.
Its features include reactions, replies, voice messages, status updates, and an integrated audio player. Recent releases have added modern OpenPGP encryption and responsive window resizing. Gajim runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux, and is available as free software with no paid editions or usage-based pricing.
