Tagstoo is a free, open-source utility for tagging folders and files, designed to make organizing and retrieving content straightforward. Tags are applied through drag and drop, and users can combine tags to run specific searches that match their requirements. The tagging database can be exported to a file for backup or imported on another computer.
The application offers multiple view modes, displaying items as lists or as cards of variable sizes, along with several tag shapes that can be edited and reordered. Media previews are built in: videos and audio can be played directly on explorer and search result cards, epub cover images are shown, and images can be opened in an internal visualizer as well as the system viewer. Interface colors can be switched among color, grey, day, and night modes.
Tagstoo runs on Windows, Linux, and macOS as a single standalone executable that does not require installation. It is distributed under the GPL public license.
