rdiff-backup
Reverse differential backup tool, over a network or locally
rdiff-backup is a reverse differential backup tool that works over a network or locally. It combines the best features of a mirror and an incremental backup, storing reverse diffs so that any previous state can be restored without requiring full backups. It can operate in a bandwidth-efficient manner over a pipe (like rsync) and can be used with SSH to securely back up a hard drive to a remote location, transmitting only the differences.
