OPAL

Open policy administration layer.

Visit OPAL

OPAL is an administration layer for policy engines such as Open Policy Agent (OPA) and AWS' Cedar Agent. It detects changes to policy and policy data in real time and pushes live updates to agents, keeping services in sync with the authorization data and policy they need as application state changes through APIs, databases, git, S3 or third-party SaaS services.

OPAL is available as Python packages with a built-in CLI and as pre-built Docker images, with a Kubernetes Helm Chart also provided. A live playground environment can be run with docker-compose, and an in-depth introduction is available for getting started.

The project is open source, with issues and feature requests handled through GitHub discussions and issues.
