Offen

Offen: Fair web analytics.

Visit Offen

Offen Fair Web Analytics is an open source, self-hosted web analytics tool that lets website operators collect usage data while giving visitors access to their own data. Collection is opt-in only, user data is encrypted end-to-end in the browser, and the software is free. It uses first-party cookies only and stores user data for six months before deletion.

Operators integrate a script tag into pages and can analyze multiple websites within one installation, with website accounts shareable within teams. Metrics include unique users, unique sessions, top pages, weekly retention, and real-time page views, filterable by URL, location, referrer, UTM parameters, landing pages, and exit pages. The Auditorium web application and browser extension serve both operators and users, and a customizable consent banner is available in English, French, German, Portuguese, Spanish, and Vietnamese. Related components include the Offen Protocol and Offen Consent Tool.

It is aimed at operators of small and mid-sized websites and web applications, as well as users who want to review their own usage data. The software is open source and free to use, with documentation for running it in production.
