Mailvelope

The envelope for your emails! Mailvelope adds end-to-end encryption to your webmail.

Visit Mailvelope

Mailvelope is an open-source browser extension that adds end-to-end PGP encryption to webmail services. It solves the problem that most emails are sent without encryption, leaving them readable like postcards by email providers or attackers. By encrypting and signing messages directly in the browser, Mailvelope ensures only the sender and recipient can read the content.

Its main capabilities include full end-to-end encryption using PGP, support for signing emails and encrypting attachments, phishing detection through signature mismatch alerts, and key management for organizations. It integrates with Gmail, Outlook, WEB.DE, Nextcloud Mail, and Roundcube. Business integrations are available for Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, and Nextcloud. Additional components include a Key Server, file encryption, and form encryption.

Mailvelope is designed for private users, businesses, and email providers. For private users, the browser add-on is free. Business editions are offered per user per month or per year, with a 14-day free trial available that requires no payment data. The software is open source and hosted on GitHub, with regular security audits.
