LinuxGSM

Command-line tool for quick, simple deployment and management of Linux dedicated game

Visit LinuxGSM

LinuxGSM is an open-source command-line tool for deploying and managing Linux dedicated game servers. It handles the setup work that can otherwise take time, checking dependencies, downloading game server files, and loading default configurations so a server can be brought online quickly. It supports a large catalogue of game servers and is written in BASH under the MIT License.

The tool includes an installer, updater, monitor, alerts, server details, backups, and a console. Updates can be applied through SteamCMD, custom JSON, or file archives. The monitor detects unresponsive servers and can restart them automatically, while alerts can be sent via email, Discord, Pushbullet, Slack, IFTTT, Pushover, Telegram, or Mailgun. Servers run in the background using tmux, and a debug mode runs the server directly in the terminal for troubleshooting. Cronjobs can be used to schedule tasks such as monitoring and updates.

LinuxGSM is aimed at administrators who want to manage their own dedicated game servers on Linux distributions. It is available as free, open-source software, with no paid editions or usage-based pricing described.
