Legacy Family Tree 10 is desktop genealogy software for building, growing, and researching family trees on a computer. It helps users organize ancestor information, attach sources, and track research tasks in a single family file.

The software includes hinting against FindMyPast, FamilySearch, GenealogyBank, and MyHeritage to surface missing information, pictures, and events. It offers more than 100 reports and charts, including family group sheets, descendant and ancestor reports, pedigree charts, and book-style reports. Tools include SourceWriter for formatted citations, Chronology and Descendant Views, a To Do List with Research Guidance, Hashtags, Color Coding, Stories, and a Publishing Center for combining reports into a book. Media handling covers photographs, audio, and video, with a Photo Album and Family Picture Tree. Place mapping uses Google Maps, and external add-ons include Charting Companion, Clooz, Genelines, Map My Family Tree, TreeDraw, and mobile apps for Android and Apple.

Legacy Family Tree is aimed at individual genealogists at varying experience levels. The software is available as a free download, with international versions and add-ons available separately.
