Invenio

Powering Open Science

Visit Invenio

Invenio is a free, open-source software suite for building digital repositories, integrated library systems, and large-scale information systems. It was originally developed at CERN and is now maintained by a community of institutions. The suite includes three main products: InvenioRDM (a turn-key research data management repository platform), InvenioILS (an integrated library system), and the Invenio Framework (a code library for building custom applications). InvenioRDM supports institutional repositories, research data management, and digital asset management. It integrates with Single Sign-On (SSO), various storage systems, and external services like ORCID, DataCite, and OpenAIRE. The software is designed to be scalable, resilient, and extensible, and can run on bare-metal, VMs, or container platforms such as Kubernetes and OpenShift.
