Evergreen ILS

Open-source library software.

Visit Evergreen ILS

Evergreen ILS is an open source integrated library system for managing collections, patrons, circulations, acquisitions, cataloging, resource sharing, and public catalog access. It is licensed under the GNU GPL, version 2 or later, and is maintained by the Evergreen Project, a 501(c)(3) membership organization with an elected board.

The system supports libraries and library consortia through a public catalog interface and staff-facing modules for circulation, acquisition, cataloging, and resource sharing. Development follows a release cycle with two major releases and monthly point releases, with files and release notes published through the project's downloads page. The project also maintains documentation, a roadmap, public demos, mailing lists, and community channels for users and contributors.

Evergreen is intended for libraries of different types and sizes, including library consortia. The project is community-governed and open source; the pages do not describe a free plan, trial, editions, or seat-based or usage-based packaging.
