GeoNode
The open source platform for geospatial content management.
GeoNode is a web-based application and platform for building geospatial information systems (GIS) and deploying spatial data infrastructures (SDI). It provides a content management system for publishing, searching, and sharing maps and spatial data, with support for vector and raster uploads, layer styling, and interactive map creation. The platform is designed to work with any GIS client through open standards, including OGC protocols such as WMS, WFS, WCS, WMTS, and CSW.
GeoNode is built on Django and exposes REST APIs for customization and integration into existing stacks. It includes fine-grained permissions, groups, and social features for collaboration, along with an admin panel for managing users, monitoring resources, and configuring infrastructure. The project is open source under the GPL license and is an official OSGeo Community Project, with source code available on GitHub. It is intended for users, developers, and administrators working with geospatial data. A live demo is available without installation, and the project offers documentation, community channels, and an issue tracker for support and contribution.
