Gitter
Where developers come to talk
Gitter is a chat and networking platform for managing, growing, and connecting communities through messaging, content, and discovery. It has migrated to Matrix, an open network for secure, decentralized communication, and can be accessed through any Matrix client connected to the gitter.im homeserver.
The platform supports end-to-end encrypted messaging, Markdown and LaTeX formatting, and sign-in with GitHub, GitLab, or Twitter. Gitter is available as a web app in modern browsers, with Matrix clients such as Element recommended for desktop, Android, and iOS. The gitter.im homeserver can be connected to a preferred Matrix client, and the underlying data is exposed as JSON.
