Dr. Link Check is a website crawler that starts from a given URL and follows links through HTML and CSS code to identify broken, malicious, or otherwise problematic links. It checks URL validity, DNS resolution, connection establishment, SSL certificate validity, HTTP status codes, blacklist membership, and soft errors where a 200 OK response masks bad content. Results can be sorted, filtered, and exported to CSV or PDF.
The crawler extracts links from HTML tags and CSS attributes, including page links, images, style sheets, scripts, and iframes. Checks can be scheduled on a monthly, biweekly, weekly, or daily basis, with email status reports. Include/exclude rules, crawl speed limits, and email recipients can be configured. Blacklist checks cover Google Safe Browsing, with PhishTank and additional sources available in higher tiers.
Dr. Link Check is offered in Lite, Standard, Professional, and Premium editions, each with limits on websites or projects and links per website. The Lite plan supports one-time checks only; higher tiers add scheduled checks and expanded blacklist coverage. Subscriptions can be changed or cancelled at any time, with upgrades processed immediately on a prorated basis.
