Coder

Self-hosted development infrastructure for developers and AI coding agents, with policy

Visit Coder

Coder is self-hosted development infrastructure for teams that need standardized environments for developers and AI coding agents while retaining control over where code runs and how AI is used. It addresses the gap between developer tooling and enterprise governance by providing secure, reproducible workspaces on infrastructure the organization already owns, with centralized model access, policy enforcement, audit logging, and observability across AI usage.

The platform includes Coder Workspaces for standardized self-hosted environments, Coder Agents as a native AI coding agent compatible with models such as Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor, and Coder AI Governance for centralized model access, policy controls, and auditability. It supports desktop and web IDEs including VS Code, JetBrains, Cursor, and Jupyter, with platform integrations such as GitHub, JFrog, and Backstage. Additional capabilities include RBAC, OIDC synchronization, resource quotas, workspace scheduling, Prometheus metrics, and an API for triggering headless agents from CI/CD or automation.

Coder is aimed at developers, platform teams, and enterprises deploying AI coding at scale. It is packaged as a free Community edition for open-source use, a Premium edition billed annually per user, and an AI Premium edition for enterprises running fully self-hosted AI workflows, with a trial available for AI Premium.
