XTIDE Universal BIOS (XUB) is a free, open-source BIOS extension that enables old IBM PC, XT, AT and compatible computers to use modern large ATA hard disks or Compact Flash cards. It supports up to four IDE controllers, PIO transfers with block mode, hard disk autodetection, hotkeys and an optional boot menu, and Compact Flash/Microdrive support. It is distributed under the GNU General Public License v2 or later.
