WonderCMS
The smallest flat file CMS
WonderCMS is a free, open source flat file CMS built with PHP, developed since 2008. It stores data in a JSON-structured text file rather than a relational database, requiring no initial configuration. Installation involves unzipping and uploading 5 files to a server. It is designed for simple websites, landing pages and blogs.
Features include in-place editing, blog mode, unlimited subpages, search, a file manager, a theme/plugin installer, one-click updates and backups, custom login URL, custom homepage, custom 404 page, and per-page SEO title, keywords and description. Security options include HTTPS support, Subresource Integrity tags on CSS and JS libraries, CSRF verification tokens, hashed admin passwords, and logging of the last five logged-in IPs. It runs on Apache by default, with NGINX, IIS or Caddy requiring edits to one server file. It supports a single administrator account with no roles or permissions.
WonderCMS is aimed at individuals and small projects needing a lightweight CMS without a database. It is free and open source, with no paid editions, trials or seat-based plans mentioned.
