Tiger Data

Time-Series PostgreSQL at Petabyte Scale

Visit Tiger Data

Tiger Data is a managed Postgres platform for time-series and machine data, built by the creators of TimescaleDB. It addresses the challenge of storing and querying continuously growing sensor and machine data alongside operational records in a single database, combining fast ingestion, efficient storage, and queries over both live and historical data.

The platform includes automatic time- and key-based partitioning, row-columnar storage with compression, tiered storage across SSD and object storage, and lakehouse integration with Kafka, S3, and Iceberg replication. It offers 200+ SQL functions for time-based analytics, hybrid search across keywords, vectors, and filters, and access via SQL, APIs, CLI, and UI. Tiger Cloud provides managed services with high availability, automated backups, point-in-time recovery, and security features including encryption, private networking, IP allow lists, and SSO/SAML. The open-source TimescaleDB extension remains available for self-hosting.

Tiger Cloud is packaged in Performance, Scale, and Enterprise plans, billed hourly based on compute and storage usage, with a 30-day free trial and no credit card required to start. Scale and Enterprise add compliance reports, advanced security, and 24x7 support. TimescaleDB is available as a free open-source option for self-hosted deployments.
