StackBlitz
Instant Dev Environments | Click. Code. Done.
StackBlitz is a browser-based development environment for web developers, built on WebContainers, a WebAssembly-based micro operating system that runs Node.js inside the browser tab. It is designed to reduce local setup and configuration work, allowing developers to start projects, run code, and debug without installing a local toolchain. Compute occurs in the browser rather than on remote servers, and the environment can work offline and be reset by refreshing the page.
The platform includes Bolt.new, an AI-assisted tool that turns text descriptions into working web applications, and Codeflow, which supports pull-request workflows. Integrations include a Figma plugin for launching component-focused coding environments, a Storybook addon for opening an instant IDE from a component, and a browser userscript that adds an Open-in-Codeflow button to GitHub repositories. Jira and Linear integrations are listed as coming soon. The WebContainer API and Web Publisher are also available as separate products.
StackBlitz is aimed at frontend and product teams, as well as individual developers. A free Personal plan covers unlimited public projects and GitHub repositories, while Teams subscriptions support organization-owned repositories and private access, with members synced from GitHub organizations. Enterprise plans are available for larger companies, and GitHub accounts are required to save work or collaborate.
