Rhinoceros 3D

Rhinoceros 3D (Rhino) is a cross-platform 3D modeling application for Windows and macOS that creates, edits, analyzes, documents, renders, animates, and translates NURBS curves, surfaces and solids, subdivision geometry (SubD), point clouds, and polygon meshes. It is intended for design, prototyping, engineering, analysis, and manufacturing workflows, and works with a range of design, drafting, CAM, analysis, rendering, animation, and illustration software.

Rhino includes model creation tools for points, curves, surfaces, solids, and meshes, along with editing, transform, and Boolean operations. It features Rhino Render, a ray-traced renderer with GPU acceleration, UV mapping, and procedural textures, plus drafting and inspection tools. Grasshopper, a visual programming environment integrated with Rhino's modeling tools, supports generative and parametric design without scripting. Rhino 8 adds ShrinkWrap for creating watertight meshes, SubD Creases, PushPull workflows, a customizable interface, and Metal-based display performance on Mac. The iRhino 3D app provides viewing and markup on iOS.

Rhino is used across architecture, engineering, marine design, jewelry, landscape design, education, and film. It is sold as perpetual licenses with support and service releases included, with no maintenance fees; upgrades are optional. Commercial and student editions are available, along with floating licenses. A free 90-day evaluation license with all features included is offered, and license holders can access work-in-progress versions.
