Redmine

Flexible, self-hosted project management web application

Visit Redmine

Redmine is an open source project management web application written in Ruby on Rails, released under the GNU General Public License v2 and built and maintained by community volunteers. It can be self-hosted and configured for different ways of working, supporting multiple projects within a single instance. It is cross-platform and cross-database.

Core features include flexible role-based access control, issue tracking, Gantt charts and calendars, time tracking, per-project wikis and forums, news, document and file management, feeds and email notifications, and custom fields for issues, time entries, projects and users. It integrates with Subversion, Git, Mercurial, Bazaar and CVS, supports issue creation via email, multiple LDAP authentication, user self-registration, and multilanguage support. Plugins and themes are available, along with a user's guide and developer's guide.

Redmine is suited to teams that want a self-hosted, configurable tool for managing projects, issues and collaboration. It is distributed as free open source software under the GPL, with releases published on its site and an unofficial third-party online demo available for trying project administration features.
