Psono
Self-Hosted and Open-Source Password Manager for Companies
Psono is an open-source password manager for businesses that can be deployed on-premises or used as a SaaS service. It addresses the need to store credentials securely while allowing teams to share secrets through encrypted channels. Vault data is encrypted in the browser before it is sent to the server, and the codebase is publicly available for audit.
The platform includes client-side encryption, password syncing, secure sharing, multifactor authentication with YubiKey, Duo, TOTP apps and FIDO WebAuthn/passkeys, a password generator, security reports, secure notes, bookmarks, password capture, and support for Firefox, Chrome and Edge. It also offers mobile apps for Android and iOS, password import and export, groups with role-based access control, PGP encryption, offline mode, API keys, callbacks, emergency codes, secret history, file sharing, and multiple storage backends including local storage, GCP, AWS and Azure. Enterprise features include LDAP, SAML and OIDC SSO integration, audit logging, policy enforcement, and the Psono Gateway for browser-based SSH, RDP and VNC sessions.
Psono is aimed at organizations that want control over where credential data is stored, whether through self-hosting or a hosted service. It is packaged in On Premise and SaaS editions, with an Enterprise Edition for the additional features listed above. The service is free for up to 10 users, and professional support and SLAs are available by request.
