Provalis Research
Text analytics software for qualitative and quantitative content analysis.
Provalis Research develops text analysis and statistical software for coding, content analysis, text mining, and quantitative analysis. Its tools are used across research and analysis workflows, including interview and focus group transcripts, legal documents, journal articles, speeches, books, drawings, photographs, paintings, and other visual documents. The company was founded in 1989 and is headquartered in Montreal, Canada.
The product line includes QDA Miner for coding, annotating, retrieving, and analyzing documents and images; WordStat for computer-assisted content analysis and text mining, including entity, keyword, phrase, and topic extraction, topic modeling, automatic classification, and generative AI integration; and SimStat for statistical analysis, output management, scripting, interactive tutorials, and computer-assisted interviewing. WordStat integrates with SimStat, QDA Miner, and Stata. ProSuite bundles QDA Miner, WordStat, and SimStat, allowing users to move between qualitative coding, text analysis, and statistical analysis within a single project file.
The software is aimed at universities, governments, NGOs, and businesses, with applications in political science, media analysis, survey analysis, business intelligence, market research, aviation safety, and international crime analysis.
