Pangolin is an open-source SASE platform from Fossorial Inc. that provides secure access and connectivity to applications, infrastructure, and AI workloads. It combines a zero trust VPN, zero trust reverse proxy, privileged access management, and an identity-aware AI gateway in a single platform. Access is granted explicitly rather than by default, and the codebase is open for inspection. It can be deployed self-hosted or through Pangolin Cloud.
The platform includes identity and access management features such as two-factor authentication, role-based access control, external identity providers, SSO auto provisioning, and role-based SSH management. Security capabilities include device posture, device approvals, geoblocking, web access firewall, credential rotation, and session and password policies. The AI Gateway provides virtual API key access, keyless desktop client access, identity-based access control, provider presets, private hosted model connections, cost control, usage analytics, and session logging. Platform features cover multi-site routing, blueprints, wildcard resources, health checks, alert rules, and browser-based SSH, RDP, and VNC access. It runs on macOS, iOS, Windows, Linux, and Android.
Pangolin is packaged as a free Basic plan, paid Team and Business editions priced per user, and a custom Enterprise edition, with a 10-day trial available on paid tiers. A self-hosted option is also offered.
