OpenStatus

Free and open source status page and uptime monitoring.

Visit OpenStatus

OpenStatus is an open-source status page and uptime monitoring platform that checks websites, APIs, and services from 28 regions globally. It publishes branded status pages on custom domains, manages incident communication with subscriber notifications, and keeps an audit log of incident actions for compliance. It can be used as managed SaaS or self-hosted under AGPL-3.0.

Monitors support response checks with headers and body retention, request phase timing, and alerts through channels including Slack, Discord, Email, Webhook, WhatsApp, PagerDuty, OpsGenie, and Grafana OnCall. Status pages support password protection, email authentication, IP restriction, custom themes, and white labeling. An agent can draft and publish status reports from Slack, and an MCP server connects to Claude, ChatGPT, or Cursor. The platform also offers a CLI, typed API with OpenAPI spec and Node SDK, and Terraform support.

OpenStatus is aimed at teams managing uptime and incident communication. It offers a free Hobby plan, a 14-day Starter trial with no card required, and paid plans (Starter, Pro, Scale) with monthly or annual billing, plus add-ons for extra monitors, status pages, and features. An Enterprise option covers higher limits, custom regions, SSO, and custom contracts.
