It brings monitoring, team collaboration, and public or private status communication into a single tool.
Core capabilities include service monitors with configurable check intervals, real-time alerts via email, SMS, and calls, and on-call scheduling for team members. Integrations connect with monitoring tools such as Datadog, New Relic, Prometheus, Grafana, Pingdom, PagerDuty, and Checkly to create incidents automatically, while Slack, Microsoft Teams, Discord, Intercom, Zendesk, and Zapier support notifications and status updates. Metrics from Datadog, New Relic, Prometheus, and Pingdom can be displayed as charts on the status page, and an API, webhooks, and email provide additional automation options.
Instatus is suited to engineering and operations teams that need monitoring, incident coordination, and customer-facing status communication. It is available in a free Starter plan, with Pro and Business editions offering higher monitor limits, faster checks, additional alert channels, more team and on-call members, custom domains, and subscriber capacity. A Business plan adds SAML SSO, SCIM directory sync, and an uptime SLA. An Enterprise option is available with custom contracts and policies. Annual billing is offered at a discount, and non-profit or open-source organizations can request a free Pro account.
