OpenCode is an open source AI coding agent that helps developers write code from a terminal, IDE, or desktop app. It can work with free included models or connect to models from other providers, including Claude, GPT, Gemini, and local models through Models.dev. It also supports logging in with GitHub Copilot or ChatGPT Plus/Pro accounts.

Key capabilities include automatic LSP loading for the LLM, parallel multi-session agents on the same project, shareable session links, and availability across terminal, desktop, and IDE extension interfaces. OpenCode states that it does not store code or context data. The project is open source, and a separate Zen offering provides a curated set of models tested for coding agents.
