Lessonspace

Virtual classroom platform for online tutoring and teaching

Visit Lessonspace

Lessonspace is a browser-based virtual classroom for online tutoring and education, combining video conferencing with subject-specific teaching tools. It addresses the need for a single space where tutors can teach visually, share resources, and control student participation without requiring downloads or separate accounts.

Core capabilities include an infinite collaborative whiteboard, equation and graph editing with LaTeX support, code tabs with syntax highlighting, document tabs, PDF and Office document import, a shared web browser (Cobrowser), and an in-space resource library. Video features include up to 10 participants, four video layouts, screen sharing, chat, emoji reactions, ML-powered noise cancelling, session recording, and automated troubleshooting. Leading and locking tools let teachers control what students see, mute or hide feeds, and manage access. AI-generated lesson summaries provide recaps and suggested next steps after sessions. A management dashboard handles accounts, permissions, role-based tool access, custom branding, and session analytics. An API allows spaces to be created programmatically and embedded via iframe.

Lessonspace is designed for individual tutors, tutoring companies, and education organisations. It integrates with tutoring and scheduling platforms including TutorBird, Teachworks, Wise, TutorCruncher, Moodle, and Amelia, among others. The platform offers a free plan, paid editions, and enterprise options, with seat-based and usage-based pricing depending on the plan.
