Kaneo
Project management that doesn't become the project.
Kaneo is an open-source project management tool for tracking work with boards, lists, backlog planning, calendar and Gantt views, and subtasks. Tasks can be linked with dependencies and blockers to show what is holding up progress, and a two-way GitHub integration syncs issues and labels so linked pull requests move tasks through review to done. It can be self-hosted with Docker or Helm, or used through Kaneo Cloud.
The self-hosted build is MIT licensed and free, including single sign-on with Google, GitHub, Discord, and custom OAuth/OIDC providers. An MCP server lets compatible AI clients read and update tasks through an API key. Kaneo Cloud offers Personal and Team editions with automatic backups and updates, workspace roles and permissions, and email support, starting with a 14-day trial. The Team edition is priced per user.
