Gist.io
Writing for Hackers
Gist.io is a publishing service that turns a GitHub Gist containing a single Markdown file into a clean, readable web page. It addresses writing that falls between short social posts and a full blog: pieces intended for a specific audience or subject that need a permanent, shareable home without setting up a site.
To publish, you create a gist on GitHub with one Markdown-syntax file and swap the gist.github.com URL segment for gist.io, using the form gist.io/@youruser/abc123. The service then presents the content as a formatted page. It works with GitHub Gists and Markdown, and is aimed at developers and writers who already keep their text in GitHub. The homepage does not describe plans, trials, editions, or pricing.
