Fermat's Last Token (Quotient Labs)

A plugin that reduces Claude Code token spend while keeping output quality, running as a 1

Visit Fermat's Last Token (Quotient Labs)

Fermat's Last Token is a drop-in plugin from Quotient Labs that sits between the Claude Code CLI and the Anthropic API to reduce token spend. It runs as a local wrapper and lightweight proxy, compressing context and optimizing tool calls while preserving output quality, without changing models or workflow. It is backed by Y Combinator.

The tool applies semantic context pruning, optimized agent tools, and quality-preserving compression, with fail-soft passthrough when compression is unsafe. It integrates with Anthropic's prompt caching and supports the Claude Code CLI and the official VS Code extension. Claude can be used through Anthropic or Vertex AI (Google Cloud Agent Platform), with AWS Bedrock listed as coming soon. It is compatible with Fable, Opus, Sonnet, and Haiku models.

Fermat is aimed at developers and organizations using Claude Code, with org-level support for centralized access control and billing. It is packaged with a two-week free trial, metered billing based on a percentage of savings, or a flat-rate unlimited-access plan.
