Double is an AI coding assistant for VS Code that helps developers generate, review, and apply code changes directly in the editor. It provides a chat sidebar where you can pass selected code as context, along with tab-based autocomplete and inline edits, reducing the need to switch between the editor and other tools.
Key features include CodeSnap, which applies generated code to the target file in one click, Inline Edit for reviewing and applying changes in diff view, autocomplete, chat history, custom instructions for tailoring AI responses, and configurable key bindings. The chat supports multiple models, including Claude 3.5 Sonnet, GPT-4o, DeepSeek, and others, with new models added as they are released. The extension is currently available only for VS Code.
Double is aimed at developers working in VS Code. It offers a free trial, with paid plans available on monthly or annual billing, and an annual discount.
