docsify

A magical documentation site generator.

Visit docsify

Docsify is a documentation site generator that turns Markdown files into a documentation website without a build step. Rather than generating static HTML files, it dynamically loads and parses Markdown and renders it as a site. Setup starts with an index.html file that can be deployed on GitHub Pages.

It includes a smart full-text search plugin, multiple themes, a plugin API for writing custom plugins, and emoji support. Markdown configuration and language highlighting are available, along with helpers for deployment, Vue compatibility, CDN use, offline mode (PWA), embedded files, and a UI kit. It can be upgraded from v4 to v5.

Docsify is aimed at developers and teams maintaining project documentation from Markdown sources. The project is open source and supported through donations, with community discussion in Discord.
