DC++

Open source client for the Direct Connect / Advanced Direct Connect file sharing network.

Visit DC++

DC++ is a free, open source file sharing client for Windows that connects to the decentralized Direct Connect and Advanced Direct Connect network. The network is made up of user-run servers called hubs, each with its own rules and content themes, where members share files with one another. The client is free of advertisements and bundled software.

Features include multi-hub connections, auto-connections, and support for both ADC and NMDC protocols. It offers search across connected hubs by file type, size, name, or hash, Tiger Tree Hashes for file integrity, segmented downloading, download resumption with automatic alternate source lookup, and MAGNET link support. Connectivity is handled through automatic UPnP and NAT-PMP router configuration, with NAT traversal and SSL encrypted hub communication, file transfers, and private messages. The client also provides bandwidth limiting, download priorities, logging options, saved user file lists, plugin support, and a translated interface.

DC++ runs on Windows 7 SP1 through Windows 11 in both 32-bit and 64-bit editions, with optimized and legacy builds depending on CPU instruction support. It is licensed under GNU GPL 3. An experimental version with AI features is also available to try.
