Visit CUPS

CUPS is an open source printing system developed by Apple for iOS, iPadOS, and macOS. It uses IPP Everywhere to support printing to local and network printers, providing a standards-based way to send print jobs across devices and networks.

The project is distributed as versioned releases, with downloads available from the repository and for other operating systems. Release notes list general bug fixes, including security fixes, with detailed changes in the included change log. CUPS 2.2 and earlier are provided under the GNU GPL2 and LGPL2 with exceptions, while CUPS 2.3 and later are provided under the Apache License, Version 2.0. The site also offers help, issue tracking, mailing lists, user and developer resources, and news.
