CommentBox.io is a hosted commenting service that provides an embeddable comment box for websites and blogs. It handles comment storage, moderation, and user interaction so that site owners do not need to build and maintain their own commenting system. Comments are stored in highly-available, multi-region storage, and can be exported on demand from the dashboard.
The plugin supports social or email login, anonymous posting, comment creation and replies, voting, flagging, and pinning. Moderators can work directly within the plugin, and moderation features include granular filters, user blocking, thread locking, and search. Integration options include webhooks for sending comments to other services, Slack notifications, and single sign-on. The embed is a short HTML snippet with a script tag.
CommentBox.io offers a free Personal plan with a monthly comment limit and basic moderation, a Professional plan with unlimited comments and additional features, and an optional Moderation Plus add-on that provides advanced moderation tools and extra moderator seats. The Professional plan is available on monthly or yearly billing.
