CodeWeavers CrossOver

Run Windows apps on macOS and Linux

Visit CodeWeavers CrossOver

CrossOver is a compatibility layer for macOS and Linux that translates Windows commands into commands for the host operating system, allowing Windows productivity applications, utilities and games to run without a Windows licence, virtual machine or dual-boot setup. It is built on the open source Wine project, to which CodeWeavers contributes code.

CrossOver offers one-click installation, desktop environment integration, and native-speed execution of Windows software. It is available for macOS and Linux, with a compatibility checker to test whether a given application will run. CodeWeavers also provides PortJump, for porting applications and games to Mac and Linux, and ExecMode, a technical consulting service. The company contributes patches to the Wine and Proton open source projects.

CrossOver is aimed at Mac and Linux users who need to run Windows software, including productivity applications and games. It is offered as a free trial with a paid purchase option, and is available separately for Mac and Linux.
