Chief Architect Premier

Chief Architect Premier is a home design application for residential and light commercial projects, covering both interior and exterior work. It combines 3D modeling with 2D drafting, generating elevations, cross sections, CAD details, site plans, and construction drawings. As walls are drawn, the software builds a 3D model at the same time, forming ceilings and floors automatically and producing a materials list that updates with the design. Windows and doors insert into walls with openings and framing, while cabinets, countertops, fixtures, and appliances interact as they are placed.

The program includes tools for dimensions on floor plans and wall elevations, floor and space planning, a manufacturer catalog, and a custom catalog for colors and materials. Rendering options cover photo-realistic output as well as line drawing and watercolor styles. Models can be shared through the Chief Architect 3D Viewer app, and the Chief As-Built App is offered alongside the main product. It runs on Windows and Mac.

Chief Architect Premier is aimed at architects, builders, remodelers, interior designers, and kitchen and bath designers, with separate resources for academic and home enthusiast users. A trial version is available with printing, saving, exporting, and virtual tours disabled.
