Bulk Rename Utility is a file renaming program for Windows that renames multiple files and folders in batches according to user-defined criteria. It supports adding date and time stamps, text substitution, case conversion, auto-numbering, and removal or modification of extensions, with a preview of the new names before the rename is applied.

Features include directory recursion, regular expression and JavaScript renaming, wildcard and regex filtering, CSV input lists, favorites for saved criteria, undo batch files, and activity logging. It can rename photos using EXIF metadata, MP3 files using ID3 tags, and files using Windows File Properties, and can also change timestamps and file attributes. An optional "Bulk Rename Here" entry is added to Windows Explorer, and a portable no-install version is available alongside 32-bit and 64-bit builds.

The tool is free for personal, private use at home; a commercial license is required for business or commercial use. It runs on Windows versions from Windows 11 back to Windows 2000, including Windows Server editions.
