Browserify

Bundle Node.js-style require() calls and their dependencies into a single browser-ready JS

Visit Browserify

Browserify is a command-line tool that lets JavaScript code written for Node.js run in the browser. It parses require() calls in your source, traverses the full dependency graph, and bundles everything into a single file that can be loaded with one script tag. It also provides browser versions of Node core libraries, so modules such as events, stream, path, url, assert, buffer, util, querystring, http, vm, and crypto can be required directly.

Browserify is installed globally via npm and run from the command line. It supports source maps through the --debug flag for debugging, and pairs with companion tools: watchify for fast caching rebuilds during development, tinyify for optimized, tree-shaken production bundles, and Beefy or run-browser for automating development workflows. Node-specific behaviors including process.nextTick(), __dirname, and __filename are supported.

It is aimed at developers who want to use npm modules in browser projects while keeping a Node-style module structure. The tool is open source, with documentation, a handbook, demos, and community support channels available. No pricing, editions, or usage limits are described.
