BlueWallet is an open-source, self-custody Bitcoin wallet for iOS and Android that lets users receive, send and store Bitcoin while keeping private keys on their own device. It supports multiple wallet types, including standard Bitcoin wallets, watch-only wallets, multisig vaults and Lightning, and can import most wallet standards such as Electrum and Bread wallets.
Features include fee control with RBF and CPFP for speeding up or cancelling transactions, batch transactions, coin control for labeling, freezing and selecting UTXOs, Payjoin, BIP47 payment codes, PSBT support for connecting hardware wallets such as Coldcard, Passport, Jade and Keystone, and the ability to plug in your own Bitcoin full node via Electrum Personal Server, ElectrumX or Electrs. Additional capabilities include plausible deniability with a separate password for a decoy wallet, multiple encrypted storages, offline wallet and address generation, custom entropy, SegWit and Taproot support, transaction broadcasting, push notifications, dark mode and multi-currency display.
BlueWallet is free and open source software, available for download as an .apk and for macOS alongside its iOS and Android apps. It is aimed at users who want direct control over their Bitcoin keys and transactions, from everyday spending to cold storage with multisig vaults and hardware wallet integration.
