The service covers bookkeeping, VAT, month-end close, management accounts, payroll, annual accounts, and tax, with continuous reconciliation throughout the month rather than after period end.

Key capabilities include AI agents that reconcile, categorise, and match documents against the ledger, and Bea, an AI finance assistant accessible via Slack, WhatsApp, or email that answers questions from the live ledger. Balance works within existing accounting systems including Xero, e-conomic, QuickBooks, and Business Central, keeping the client's ledger as the source of truth. Communication with a named accountant is available over Slack, WhatsApp, or email.

Balance is aimed at businesses across e-commerce and retail, software and startups, hospitality, and professional services, including multi-entity groups. Pricing is a fixed monthly fee per entity or company, agreed before starting, with no hourly billing. Backlog clean-up is quoted separately as one-off work. A full refund is available within the first two months.
